Cat Breeder

1986 - Visiting a cat show in Toulouse (France), Pascale fell in love with Berenice, a Black Tortie female Persian. Berenice is at the origin of Pascale's passions for cat show and cat breeding. Pascale found out very soon that Berenice was a sweet kitten but not a "beautiful Persian"!

Using the advice of new friends met at  cat  shows, Pascale started her own cattery, because she had Devon Rex  and Exotic Shorthair/Persian, she named her cattery: REXOTIC.

Pascale had very good results in shows with Cherry,  an exotic shorthair blue mackerel silver tabby. This cat became Champion d'Europe very quickly.  Pascale then decided  to enter Cherry in  the fabulous INCAT show  at  Madison Square Garden  in New York. It was the opportunity to discover New York, America, ...  But most important it was the discovery of another world of cat shows. The International Cat Association (TICA)  whose  mode of  judgment per  ring  did not exist per se in Europe. Since that  year 1988, Pascale has visited an American  TICA show at least once every year and established  a friendship with a lot of cat breeders.

Pascale fell in love with breeds she had never seen in Europe, like the American Curl, the Bombay  or  the gigantic Maine Coon.

She came back to France with Newave Chauncey (Aka Gros Curl) a brown tabby American Curl. "Gros Curl"  was  the first American Curl in Europe. He soon became  the star of all the cat shows and feline magazines. Pascale started to breed American Curls the following year, and produced numerous Supreme Grand Champions.  Her breeding became a favorite throughout Europe and as far away as Japan.

Pascale is also at the origin of the introduction of the Bombay in France. The Bombay looks like a little black panther with a shiny dark coat and wonderful copper eyes. She imported from the United States, two kittens, Bagheera and Opium who became the foundation of her Bombay breeding program. Those two gorgeous cats were show winners everywhere they competed.

In the meantime, she worked to improve the  Devon Rex breed, using Cristal and Darck Vador de Guermantes as the parents, Pascale  produced SGC Rexotic's Hagana. This black female Devon Rex  became  the   Best Devon Rex of the year  for TICA in 1995. Hagana is  now retired and shares  Pascale's life.
